Marin Constantin was born on 27 February 1925 in Urleta in Romania.
He graduated in 1949 College of Music in Bucharest. In parallel, he studied pedagogy and psychology at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Bucharest. Between 1966 and 1969, Constantine was the general director of Opera Nationala Bucuresti.
He founded in 1963 Corul "Madrigal" Bucharest. With this choir he was known throughout the world for his extraordinary knowledge of the vocal music of Gregorian chant, Renaissance, and Baroque as well as traditional and contemporary Romanian music.
1992 Marin Constantin was for his work for UNESCO - appointed ambassador.
Marin Constantin died on 1 January, 2011.
